Beginning April 10, 2006, the Solid Waste Department will be enforcing the Code 15-301-F requiring the bagging and tying of trash. All trash such as paper, cans, plastic bags, ashes and general trash shall be secured in the poly-cart in such a manner that the contents shall not be blown or scattered where it becomes a litter problem in your neighborhood.

In the process, all carts that have loose contents that would be blown or scattered while collectors are dumping carts, will be tagged with a reason to why your cart was not dumped. (See below) Hopefully, on the next scheduled pick-up day, the problem will be taken care of and your regular service will continue.

We are asking that all residents make every effort to help in keeping our neighborhoods, community and our town clean.

YOUR REFUSE CONTAINER WAS NOT DUMPED BECAUSE:

1. Dirt or other solids too heavy.
2. Hot coals or ashes.
3. Trash was not bagged and tied.
4. Cart was not at pick up point at 7 AM on collection day.
5. Due to liquids or hazardous wastes, paints, oils, batteries, tires or other.
6. Bags were too heavy to pick up.

A partir de el 10 de Abril, 2006, el Departamento de Rehuso Solido estara enforsando el codigo 15-301-F el cual require que toda basura sea enbolsada y asegurada. Toda basura tal como papel, botes, bolsas de plastico, cenizas y basura general debe ser asegurada en la carretilla de basura de tal manera que los contenidos no puedan ser esparcidos por ninguna razon illegando a ser un desorden en su vecindad.

En el proceso, toda carretilla de basura que tiene contenidos sueltos los cuales pueden ser esparcidos mientras nuestros trabajadores esten rocojiendo las carretillas de basura, seran etiquetadas explicando la razon por lo cual su carretilla de basura no fue vaciado. Esperamos que para la proxima vez, al tiempo de recojer su carretilla de basura, el problema este solucionado y podamos resumir su servicio regular.

Estamos pidiendo que todos los residents hagan el esfuerzo para mantener sus vecindarios, comunidad y cuidad limpia.

SU ENVASE DE BASURA NO SE DESCARGO A CAUSA DE LO SIGUENTE:

1. Tierra o otros solidos demasiadamemte pesados.

2. Carbon o cenizas calientes.

3. La basura no estaba empolsada.

4. El carrito no estaba en su lugar adequado a las 7:00 a.m. el dia de coleccion.

5. Debido a liquidos o desechos peligrosos, las pinturas, los petroleos, baterias, llantas u otro.

6. Las bolsas estaban demasiadamente pesadas.

Trees from Storm

The City requests that pick up of trees will be either in the alleys or streets, wherever the regular trash is picked up from.

The City asks the public not to fill the 3-yard big dumpsteres with trees or brush.  If possible, residents are asked to please BAG all brush and leaves and set them by the side of the 3-yard big dumpster.  The bags will be picked up as soon as possible.  This will help to provide more room for household trash in the 3-yard dumpsters instead of leaving it on the ground for animals to scatter.

We ask for your continued support in helping get the storm debris all cleaned up.
